Kerry Halferty Hardy brings her wide-ranging and international experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and policy to her role as a strategic advisor and university lecturer, public speaker, and expert on non-profit management and civil society. Kerry focuses using her expertise to foster advancements in key sectors, such as healthcare, agriculture, and energy, aiming to promote global development and positive social impact.
She began her career as an assistant in the Texas Legislature, gaining early insights into the complexities of policymaking. In the initial Austin tech boom days, she shifted to working on editing patent applications for medical technologies, which piqued her interest in healthcare innovation. Kerry also worked on an entrepreneurial energy infrastructure project in South America, where she developed a deeper understanding of the complex challenges on that continent. Additional time working in the think-tank universe, both in public policy and international relations broadened her understanding of the complex interactions of public, private and third sector entities.
Following significant roles in hospital administration and development, she has collaborated with pharmaceutical companies and patient advocacy groups to improve communication strategies and public policy effectiveness. She also developed strategic initiatives for groups engaged in clinical research, leveraging her skills to enhance their global outreach and operational efficacy. Her work is driven by a commitment to patient-centered healthcare and enhanced organizational efficacy.
As a lecturer at ESCP Europe, Kerry teaches about NGOs and civil society, blending practical experience with scholarly insight to prepare future leaders for challenges in international business and diplomacy. She emphasizes the vital role of nonprofits in economic growth and societal health.
